Trix the Cat
June 26, 2020 we lost the greatest cat we’ve ever owned. Trix (also known as Trickster, Trixie, Bugs, Buggars, and Sir Bugs) was half Maine Coon and half Pixie Bob cat.
Ms. Hil got Trix and his sister, Dixie, in Washington state weeks after they were born on April 4, 2005. Trix was the cat that turned her into a cat lover. He isn’t your ordinary cat. In his younger years he loved water and could be found in sinks even with water running, playing in the water of open toilets, and would even join you in the shower if you didn’t lock him out of the bathroom. He loved riding in vehicles, and even on top of vehicles. Numerous times he had to be brought back to me because he quietly hitched a ride in someone’s backseat before they left the farm. We believe his love of car rides began in October 2005 when he made the trek with Ms. Hil moving 3,000 miles back across country to GA. He rode shotgun the majority of the trip. He was fearless, yet a horrible hunter. He literally shared his food dish with a mouse. He had amazing, green eyes and the gentlest demeanor. He LOVED the kids at Hooves to Freedom. He even hopped aboard with some of them to ride. To my clients and their family who loved Trix, his presence will be greatly missed by us all. |
