At Hooves to Freedom, our mission is rooted in faith, compassion, and restoration. Every interaction on the farm is guided by values that help people feel seen, safe, loved, and empowered.
WHY OUR VALUES MATTER
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” - Ephesians 2:10-
We believe healing happens through relationships, consistency, trust, and the love of Christ. Our core values shape how we care for people, horses, families, volunteers, and our community.
Core Values
Jesus Heals. God works through us. But we are not here to fix problems.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” - Ephesians 3:20-
This verse reminds us that real healing and transformation come from God, not from our own strength or ability to “fix” someone else.
Grace is our default.
“And do everything with love.” - 1 Corinthians 16:14
“Understanding this, my dear brothers and sisters: you must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.” - James 1:19
These verses call us to lead with compassion, patience, and love, especially when people are hurting, overwhelmed, or struggling to be understood.
Be authentic.
“This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” - 2 Timothy 1:6-7
God never asked us to pretend to have it all together. This passage challenges us to walk confidently in the gifts and calling He has placed inside of us.
Share your story.
“All praise to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful father and the source of all our comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with His comfort through Christ.” - 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
The comfort we have received from God was never meant to stop with us. Our stories can become a source of hope and healing for someone else.
Make it better... Take ownership.
"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than people.” - Colossians 3:2
This verse encourages us to serve with excellence, integrity, and initiative, remembering that even the smallest tasks can honor God.
