“Judah”- Registered name- Skye’s Imperial Praise
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” - Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT Judah is our Friesian Warmblood gelding who was born March 29, 2008. His mom is our Thoroughbred, Skye. When Judah was just minutes old, a lady at the farm where he was born asked Ms. Hil if it was a filly (girl) or a colt (boy). Without looking to see for herself, she answered, “It’s a colt, and his name is Judah.” The little horse that was all legs was a beautiful bay color with just a simple white star on his forehead. Horses are pregnant for 11 months. When Judah’s mom, Skye, was about 8 months along, Ms. Hil had a dream. In her dream Skye gave birth to a bay colt with a white star on his forehead and his name was Judah. She believes God gave her that dream, and the name. Judah means “praise” or some believe it means “give God the highest praise”. Judah is very playful. He’s sometimes referred to by Ms. Hil as her “delinquent”, but he really isn’t. Judah is our Superman horse. His tack colors are Superman blue, yellow, and red. Judah is also the tallest horse in our herd. See more of Judah here! |
