November 2025: Shelby and Morning Star

Question 1 How long have you been a therapy horse?
We both came to Hooves to Freedom in 2015. - Shelby
We work with many people at schools, nursing homes, and on the farm. - Morningstar 

Question 2 Did you know Blaze?
Blaze lived across the farm in another pasture. We never met Blaze personally but we knew who he was. - Shelby and Morningstar

Question 3 Who is your best friend?
Morningstar is my best friend. I don’t want to be without her. - Shelby
Shelby is my best friend. We don’t like to be apart. - Morningstar 

Question 4 What is your favorite activity to do?
I enjoy being brushed and having my mane braided. - Morningstar
I spend most of my time putting the farm’s pig, Mazy, in her place. She tries to make a bed out of the hay I’m trying to eat. - Shelby 

Question 5 What do you love most about HTF?
A few years ago Ms. Hil and some volunteers helped build me and Shelby a new pasture right up front. - Morningstar 
Now, we get lots of attention from all of the children, teens, and adults who come to visit every day. - Shelby 

Question 6 What is something most people don’t know about you?
I dressed up as a cow for Chick-Fil-A’s cow appreciation day and was gifted one of my favorite treats - apples! - Shelby 
I am trained to pull a cart and enjoy helping kids learn how to drive. - Morningstar
